Three things to do today
- Choose one target role. Search using its actual job title, such as “accounts payable accountant”. Check the location, required experience and any professional licence.
- Tailor your CV. Put relevant experience first. Include your current location, a reachable phone number and availability. Keep every qualification and achievement accurate.
- Complete one suitable application. Follow all submission steps, then save the job link, date and confirmation. Creating a profile alone does not complete an application.
Repeat with other suitable vacancies. Keep a simple list so you know where you applied and what needs follow-up.

- A particular company: use its own careers page. Examples include Emirates Group, Etihad and ADNOC.
- A wider search: choose one additional platform, such as Bayt UAE, and search by role and city.
- Government roles: check Dubai Careers or the federal jobs portal entry page. Read each vacancy’s nationality and qualification requirements.
If a listing sends you to another website, finish the application there. Save its confirmation before moving on.
Apply before booking a flight
You can start online from outside the UAE. Try that before spending money on travel and accommodation for a job search.
If you plan to travel, check your entry eligibility first. The jobseeker visit visa has specific conditions; it is not available automatically to every applicant.
Three checks before accepting an offer
- Recruitment fees: do not pay an agency to secure a job. The UAE government says the employer pays agency recruitment fees. Official guidance.
- Permission to work: do not start work on a visit or tourist visa. Ask the employer which work permit you need and when it will be ready. Government employment guidance.
- The employer and terms: verify the sender through the company’s official contact details. Check the role, salary, location and benefits in writing before signing.
